Description: Five Golden Rings springerle cookie mold by House on the Hill. As we learned in the Christmas Carol, the Gold Rings are the 5th of 12 gifts representing the 12 days between the birth of Jesus and the Epiphany, The mold has an arched top, reminiscent of a church window. A matching cookie cutter is also available.

Ever wonder about the meanings of each gift in the song? Two theories about the rings include a reference to the yellowish rings around a pheasant’s neck; or to “goldspinks,” an old name for the Goldfinch bird. Both interpretations makes sense, considering all the other lyrics in the first seven days of the song reference a bird.

Looking for all twelve molds at once? The entire set of 12 Days of Christmas can also be purchased at the same time.
