Description: So much story telling in this 6" mold! All the steps of the harvest are depicted. In the foreground, workers cut the wheat. To the left are finished and tied sheaves. A man drives a horse drawn cart up the road, taking the bounty to the village. In the background is the barn and home.
There are also small details, such as the squirrel on the tree or the people and animals inside the city walls. The entire mold is encircled by a typical leaf wreath of the 17th century, providing a clue to the age of the original carving.
