Description: Happy Spring! Our cheerful bird holds a twig in its beak, flying back to build a nest for spring. Perfect design for bird lovers everywhere; and also as a Peace Dove.

A Bit of History: The mold is based on the figure perched on the roof of Ulm Minster in Ulm, Germany. It depicts a dove carrying an olive branch in its beak, a reference to the biblical story of Noah's Ark. When the figure was mounted on the roof, its size in relation to the building was so small that the landmark came to be amusingly referred to by the local residents as the Ulm "Sparrow", a much smaller bird.

In addition to cookies, this mold makes a lovely paper cast for greeting cards, gift tags, or art projects. It has been featured in Martha Stewart magazine under the name "Fly By Bird".
